ScoTube: SCORM-ify Your Videos

There are two ways to turn your videos into SCORM conformant ones that are playable in any LMS or in SCORM Cloud: upload your own, or use an existing YouTube video.

Videos converted in ScoTube can be delivered right from SCORM Cloud, just like any other course. You can send invitations directly to learners, or use Dispatch to deliver your video to an LMS and retain
complete control over your content. The normal registration rules apply to any videos converted with ScoTube.

The gist:

  • We created a bookmarklet to make it easy to convert any YouTube video to a SCORM package
  • You can invite learners in SCORM Cloud
  • You can also export those SCORM packages for use in any SCORM LMS.
  • There’s a storage limit for SCORM Cloud accounts, and using videos can cause you to reach that limit quickly. Storage limits apply based on your account level. Keep in mind that converting a YouTube video takes up almost no storage on your SCORM Cloud account.
