Installing SCORM Cloud in Moodle
If you’ve got five minutes, you can get SCORM Cloud installed, adding SCORM 2004 conformance to your Moodle. Hooray! Here are the super simple steps to follow and if you need help, watch Tim get it installed on his machine in the video. (In less than five minutes!)
- Extract the .zip file of the Moodle mod you downloaded. The extracted folder is set up with the same folder structure as a standard Moodle installation to show you where to place the folders.
- Copy the course/format/scormcloud folder into the course/format folder of your installation.
- Copy the admin/report/scormcloud folder into the admin/report/scormcloud folder of your installation.
- Copy the mod/scormcloud folder into the mod folder of your installation.
- Log in to your Moodle and click on Notifications in the admin area to let your installation know there’s a new mod to add. (The service URL, if you need it, is “http://cloud.scorm.com/EngineWebServices/”. This won’t do anything if you click it here, but it’s magical in your Moodle install.)
- Add the SCORM Cloud account information that came in your welcome email – app_id, secret key and service URL. (Haven’t signed up yet? Head here.)
